Weight Management

Once Weekly SC Dose Escalation Schedule

– Weeks 1-4: 0.25 mg SC weekly

– Weeks 5-8: 0.5 mg SC weekly

– Weeks 9-12: 1 mg SC weekly

– Week 13-16: 1.7 mg SC weekly

Maintenance Dose

– Week 17 and onward: 2.4 mg SC weekly

– If unable to tolerate a dose during escalation, consider delaying dose escalation for 4 weeks

– If unable to tolerate maintenance dose of 2.4 mg once-weekly, may temporarily decreased to 1.7 mg once weekly, for a maximum of 4 weeks; after 4 weeks, increase back to maintenance 2.4 mg once-weekly; discontinue if not tolerated after second attempt.

Indications

– Used for chronic weight management in addition to reduced calorie diet and increased physical activity in adults, who have:

Storage

Intact SC Pens

– Store in the refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C (36-46°F)

– Storage in the original carton is recommended until time of administration in order to protect from light.

– Do not store in freezer or directly adjacent to the refrigerator cooling element

– Do not freeze and do not use if frozen

– If needed, each single-use pen, prior to cap removal, can be kept at a temperature, 46-86°F (8-30°C), for a total of 28 days.

– If your pen has been exposed to light or temperatures above 30°C (86°F), has been out of the refrigerator for more than 28 days, or has been frozen, dispose of it.

– Keep pen cap on when not in use

– Protect from excessive heat and sunlight

SC Administration

– Administer SC to abdomen, thigh, or upper arm

– The time of day and the injection site can be changed without dose adjustment

– Administer once weekly, on the same day each week, at any time of day, with or without meals

– Visually inspect before use; drug should appear clear and colorless
